PINETOWN police are looking for the relatives of a man who was knocked down by a vehicle next to the UKZN campus in Pinetown along Richmond Road.
Lt Bongumusa Manqele, Pinetown SAPS communications officer, said it is alleged that on 12 December 2014, a pedestrian was crossing the road at about 6.35am when the accident took place.
“The man sustained serious head injuries and was taken to hospital, where he later died.” Manqele said the deceased is only known as Mahhashi Ndlela or Majiya, and was around 60 years old.
“The deceased was renting a house in Emmause Road in Westmead,” he said.
