Support Litres for Education and change lives one litre at a time

Support local beneficiaries by filling up at donor garages.

The owners of BP Hillcrest, BP Richmond Road, Pinetown and the Engen at 45th Cutting, Westville have come on board as donor petrol stations in the highway area for the Litres for Education initiative (LFE).

Litres for Education is the brainchild of Graeme and Zelda Schewitz, who have been involved in the retail fuel industry since 2002 and have always been staunch supporters of local community projects.

LFE allows people to support local charities, community projects and schools by signing up on the LFE website (www.litresforeducation.co.za) and nominating a beneficiary of their choice from the list provided.

A disc with your nomination of choice’s number is then displayed on your windscreen, and for every litre you fill up at a donor petrol station, 10c per litre will be donated to your beneficiary. A LFE booklet records your purchases. The discs can also be obtained from the beneficiaries.

Highway beneficiaries include The Kloof & Highway SPCA, Focus on the Family, Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust, Open Door Crisis Centre, The Robin Hood Foundation, Hillcrest High School, Roseway Waldorf, Winston Park Primary School and Browns’ School.
