Man killed, another injured in M19 crash
A man died and another was seriously injured in a crash near the Dunkeld Road off-ramp.
One man tragically died and another sustained serious injuries after a vehicle overturned on the M19 near the Dunkeld Road off-ramp on 28 August at around 12.20am.
According to Chris Botha, Media Liaison Officer for Netcare 911, paramedics and the rescue unit arrived at the scene and found accident debris spread over a large area, the twisted remains of the vehicle coming to rest off the roadway.
After medics triaged the injured it was found that a man in his thirties had died due to the extensive injuries that he sustained. The other occupant from the vehicle was in a serious condition.
“Paramedics stabilised the injured man at the scene and afterwards he was immobilised on a trauma board and transported to a local hospital,” said Botha.
Exact details of the cause of the accident are still speculative; police are investigating.
