A MAN tragically died when he was hit by a car along the N3 east bound between the M13 and Pavilion off ramp around 1.10pm today.

According to Netcare 911’s spokesman, Chris Botha, paramedics and their rescue unit arrived at the scene and found the man, believed to be in his 60s, lying on the roadway.

After medics examined the critically wounded man, it was found that he had tragically died from the extensive injuries he sustained.

The cause of the accident and preceding events is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation.
