In the latest draft revision of the Municipal Demarcation Boards (MDB) ward boundary demarcations, it appears that the previous position has been reversed back to the current boundary demarcation for Ward 10.
This decision which will take effect after the 2016 elections, means Motala Heights voting station has been removed and Kloof Tennis Club voting station will remain in Ward 10, barring any objections from other political parties or other interested parties.
“This is a perfect example of when people make their voices heard the buracrats listen. This decision is a direct result of the 632 people who attended the public meeting in Gillitts and the 1 000-plus objections that the residents of Ward 10 sent to the MDB,” said Ward 10 ward councillor, Rick Crouch.
