Pinetown pupils hit by bus

Two Pinetown Girls' High School pupils were injured after being knocked by a bus this morning.

TWO Pinetown Girls’ High School pupils were injured after being knocked down by a bus on Old Main Road in Pinetown while on their way to school earlier this morning, 28 July.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the girls,believed to be 17 years old, lying on the left hand side of a construction site between a truck and the bus.

Paramedics assessed the girls and found that they had sustained moderate injuries. They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.

Highway Mail contacted Pinetown Girls’ High School, which confirmed that the pupils were doing fine and had been taken to Life Crompton Hospital.

At this stage the exact cause of the incident is unknown.
