Three criminals escape from holding cells

The three men who escaped prison are dangerous and the community is advised not to try apprehend them but contact the police immediately.

THREE prisoners who are deemed to be highly dangerous by the Bellair police have escaped from their prison cells yesterday.

The three men, Vusi Gumede, Bheki Nkosi and Siya Dlamini, somehow managed to dig a hole on the wall of the cell and made their way out of the prison. This was discovered by police officers as they were conducting a routine check early in the day.

Gumede was arrested for murder, Nkosi was detained for possession of firearm and Dlamini was arrested for possession of stolen property.  A case of escaping from lawful custody has been opened at Bellair police station for investigation.
