Pupils knit beanies and blankets for poor

Pupils hoped their knitted beanies and blankets would provide some relief to underprivileged babies and children from the icy cold weather this winter.

GRADE 6 and 7 community service pupils from Sarnia Primary School have been busy looming beanies and knitting blankets for underprivileged babies and children this past term.

It is their sincere hope that their beanies will bring some relief from the icy cold weather this winter. Spinning off from the loom-band craze, Trudy Neumann and Colleen Pieters, who head up the community service projects, introduced original looming to the pupils, who eagerly took to the craft.

They extended a big thank you to all parents and grandparents who either donated wool or who helped sew blankets together.
