Don’t be left in the dark
The power utility warned that any unexpected changes on the already vulnerable and constrained power system could lead to a change in the load shedding stage at short notice
ESKOM announced earlier today that it will implement load shedding due to increased electricity demand and a shortage of generation capacity.
Stage 1 load shedding has been implemented as of 12pm to 5pm this afternoon, 24 July.
Stage 2 will be implemented from 5pm to 10pm this evening, 24 July.

* this schedule is subject to change.
Please note: If you are experiencing a power outage, either outside your schedule time or when load shedding is not active, then it is a result of a fault on the network and not because of load shedding. Please report your outage to Electricity Call centre on 080 13 13 1111.

Eskom has implemented #load_shedding stage 1 from 12h00 to 17h00 & stage 2 will be implemented from 17h00 until 22h00 today.
