Gardener’s relatives sought by police

Hillcrest SAPS are looking for relatives of a deceased man around 65 years old.

HILLCREST detectives are appealing to anyone who can assist them to locate the relatives of a man who was found dead in a room where he resided.

The man, known as Jurrie, is white and was working as a gardener in Hillcrest.

According to Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Cst Ndumiso Manqele, police attended the complaint of inquest on Monday, 6 July in Old Main Road, Hillcrest.

“The owner of the premises where Jurrie lived, said he was about 65 years and had been working for him as a gardener for four years. According to him, the deceased was residing in his business property and he does not know his relatives.

“The deceased (Jurrie) was found dead in his room and there were no visible injuries,” said Manqele.

A case of inquest was opened at Hillcrest police for further investigation and the body was taken to the Pinetown mortuary.
