Drumbeat treat for HACT managers

"We just wanted to spoil the team a little bit and allow a space for them to relax and spend time together out of their busy work environment." - Glynnis Dirksen, owner of Talloula

TEN managers at the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust were recently treated to a fully sponsored mid-year management de-stress lunch at Talloula restaurant in Botha’s Hill recently.

This included a fully sponsored lunch and gift certificates for each of the managers – women got a manicure voucher from The Bird House and the men received a massage voucher from Cherish. Jonathan from African Drum Shack came through and sponsored a one-hour group drumming session on djembe drums.

Glynnis Dirksen, owner of Talloula, said, “Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust does such amazing work and we thought this was a little something we could do for our contribution for Mandela Day, which happens in July. We just wanted to spoil the team a little bit and allow a space for them to relax and spend time together out of their busy work environment.”

Olivia Myeza, CEO of Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust, added, “Talloula was absolutely amazing to give us this opportunity to have a mid-year de-stress event. They hosted us with a beautiful table spread, gorgeous hand-picked flowers and provided us with the tastiest lunch ever. Drum Shack was also incredible and came through to allow us an hour of drumming – a great stress reliever and team-building exercise. We are so grateful to Talloula, Drum Shack, The Bird House and Cherish for their generosity. We are refreshed and rejuvenated and ready for the second half of the year.”
