KwaNdengezi pastor gunned down

MEC Mchunu highly disturbed by the senseless, inhumane and ghastly murder of KwaNdengezi pastor.

Phumokwakhe Ndlovu, a pastor of the Full Gospel in KwaNdengezi, was shot and killed outside his home on Monday evening, 13 July.

Reports suggest that Ndlovu, 41, was shot and killed outside his home while he was coming back from work by unknown suspects.

The MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Willies Mchunu, condemned the senseless murder of Ndlovu and urged law enforcement agencies to do everything to ensure that those responsible for the murder are brought to justice as soon as possible.

In our on-going endeavours to eradicate the scourges of crime in our province, we are highly disturbed by these senseless, inhumane and ghastly murders of our people. The murder of Pastor Ndlovu is strongly condemned and we shall monitor the case until arrests and convictions are secured,” said Mchunu, urging anyone with information on the murder to report it to the police immediately.

“I would like to appeal to anyone with information to assist the police by coming forward so the suspects can be brought to justice. I have, however, been informed that police are working tirelessly on this matter to arrest the culprits,” said MEC Mchunu.

KwaNdengezi SAPS WO Gesi Sibiya said no arrests had been made.
