Reach for your slippers to keep dreams alive

Support Slipper Day and keep dreams alive for children with life threatening diseases.

Reach For A Dream is encouraging all South Africans to wear their slippers on Friday, 7 August and help fulfil the dreams of children fighting life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, renal failure, heart conditions and blood disorders.

Slipper Day is a fun way for people to contribute a small amount of money and make a huge difference. Simply buy your slipper sticker for R10 and swap your regular work or school shoes for your favourite pair of slippers.

This year’s theme is ‘Don’t Let Their Dreams Disappear’, and the foundation is hoping to better last year’s R2.66-million raised and raise R4-million this year towards dreams and projects for severely ill children.

Stickers are available at all Wimpy stores countrywide from 1 July. Wimpy will be giving all customers a free cup of coffee when they purchase their Slipper Day sticker on 7 August. Alternatively, purchase a sticker online at www.slipperday.co.za or at any one of the seven Reach For A Dream branches countrywide.
