Husband in the dock for wife’s murder

Murder victim's husband prepares to make his next court appearance.

THE husband of Nalini Naidoo, who was arrested at the weekend, is expected to make his next court appearance on Friday for a bail application.

According to police spokesman, Colonel Jay Naicker, the husband appeared in court on Monday and was remanded into custody.

“His accomplices were convicted and sentenced earlier this month. On 29 October, 2014, Nalini Naidoo was found dead with her throat cut near the Shongweni Dam in the Nkwalini area. Three suspects were arrested and charged for murder and kidnapping. Gcina Magwaza (39), Zwelakhe Maphumulo (41) and Kholekile Sithole (41) were each convicted and sentenced to 45 years for murder and kidnapping.”
