One injured after ATM bombed in Pinetown

A woman sustained injuries to her leg after an ATM bombing in Clermont.

A woman was injured after an ATM was bombed at the Boxer Punch store in Zazi Road in Clermont near Pinetown this morning.

ER24 paramedics and the police arrived at the scene to find a large crowd of people gathered at the store. Paramedics discovered a woman had sustained minor injuries to one of her legs.

“It is believed that the patient sustained these injuries when she fell, running away when she heard the explosion,” said spokesperson, Russel Meiring.

Paramedics treated the patient for her injuries and thereafter transported her to St Augustine’s Hospital for further treatment. No other injuries were sustained in the incident.

Police were investigating further.
