Five injured in M7 pile up

Vehicle pile up at the weekend on the M7 left many injured.

FIVE people were injured after three cars and a truck collided on the M7 east-bound near Wakesleigh Road at around 2pm on Saturday, 27 June. Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find the badly-damaged vehicles in the road.

An assessment revealed that a total of five people had sustained various injuries as a result of the collision, one seriously injured. Another Rescue Care ambulance and the advanced life support unit were called to the scene.

Once all of the injured had been stabilised on the scene they were transported to various hospitals in Durban. It is still unclear what caused the collision; however, the necessary authorities were on the scene and are investigating further.
