Grant is a super dad

Grant Price of Gillitts was chosen as Highway Mail's Father's Day competition winner.

GILLITTS resident, Grant Price, was the lucky winner of Highway Mail’s Father’s Day competition.

Highway Mail ran the competition last week, requesting entrants to explain why they think their dad was Highway’s best dad and to e-mail a photo of him with his child or children.

Grant’s wife, Kerry, entered her husband in the competition and wrote: “My husband is the most amazing father in the world. He is always involved in his daughters’ lives. He works at their school (he moved from an all-boy school to an all-girl private school with a majority of female staff because he wanted to give our daughters the best education possible), where he is a father figure to many other girls too. My husband does it all… hair, lunches, Barbies, stories, bikes and homework. His kids are his first priority. He is there to wipe their tears, clean up their injuries and even deals with vomiting. He is entertainment, support and love all rolled into a super dad. My girls are the luckiest in the world to have the best dad ever.”

Grant won a round of golf for four people, valued at R1 000, and a Sunday carvery lunch for four, valued at R540, courtesy of Kloof Country Club.

He said he was thrilled to have won and can’t wait to participate in the 4-ball at the beautiful Kloof Country Club. He also thanked his wife, Kerry, and daughters, Caitlin and Samantha, for entering him in the competition for Highway’s best dad.
