Neighbourhood watch receives medical supplies

ER24 donated medical supplies to local neighbourhood watch.

THE Pine Ridge Neighbourhood Watch will now be able to assist more residents with the first aids supplies they received from ER24 last week.

Sharon Jenkins, head of the care unit, said, “We are grateful for the first aid kits and supplies we received, which will be used by our care unit. We often administer level one and two first aid to patients who were involved in car accidents or sustain injuries in crime-related incidents. We treat patients while waiting for paramedics to arrive and take over from us, so this donation will assist greatly in the work we conduct at the care unit. We are continuously working closely with various stakeholders such as ER24.”

ER24’s Derrick Banks, who officially handed over the supplies, said, “The Pineridge Neighbourhood Watch helps to stablise patients before we arrive. This donation is also our way of giving back to the community. This is a great initiative and its good to know that people can receive treatment from this care unit instead of going to the hospital.”
