Two people were injured during separate armed robberies last week.

A MAN was shot and another stabbed in two separate armed robberies in the Highway area last week.

A Mosley Park resident arrived home last Tuesday to find a gang of armed robbers on the property. He noticed that his gate had been derailed and that a brown Audi was parked in the driveway. The robbers allegedly shot him in the leg before fleeing with a television and other stolen goods. He was taken to hospital for medical treatment. Pinetown SAPS attended the scene of the crime.

In the second incident, a customer was stabbed during an armed robbery at a business premises in Kings Road in Pinetown on Thursday. Three robbers, two armed with firearms and one with a knife, entered the premises and approached the manager, ordering her to open the safe. A customer was stabbed in the arm during the incident.

A third armed robbery was reported on Friday at a business premises in Jan Smuts Highway, Westville. Two armed robbers held up the store’s cashier at gunpoint and stole cash, cigarettes and other goods as well as a staff member’s cellphone. They fled on foot.
