Sunflower Fund breakfast encourages recycling

The theme for this year’s breakfast is '101 Ways with a 2-litre Plastic Cold Drink Bottle'.

GARDENING and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to the much-anticipated 10th annual Sunflower Fund Breakfast at the Kloof Country Club on Thursday, 9 July.

Organisers, Allison Naidoo of The Sunflower Fund, Lindsay Gray, principal of The School of Garden Design, and Tanya Visser, editor of The Gardener/Die Tuinier magazine, are once again inviting you to join them for a fabulous morning in support of charity.

Apart from being an enjoyable and fun-filled morning, all funds raised will be donated to The Sunflower Fund, which is the only organisation in Africa to educate, grow and maintain the South African Bone Marrow Registry. The more donors on the registry, the more hope leukaemia patients have of finding their one in 100 000 donor match.

Tickets cost R195 each, which will afford you a morning of great enjoyment including a fabulous goodie bag, delicious two-course breakfast and wonderful lucky draw prizes. There will also be an enviable raffle for guests. Larger-than-life celebrity guest speaker, Tanya Visser, will educate and entertain guests with her Gardens From Around the World, a take on this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.

The theme for this year’s breakfast is ‘101 Ways with a 2-litre Plastic Cold Drink Bottle’, and Tanya will award a prize to the one she deems the most innovative.

For bookings or sponsorship of prizes and/or goodie bag items, kindly contact Lindsay Gray on 082 449 9237 or e-mail her at lingray@schoolofgardendesign.co.za. Book early to avoid disappointment as the event is limited to 180 guests.
