A 49-YEAR-old man was arrested for killing his girlfriend in Cowies Hill on Monday afternoon.
According to KZN police spokesman, Major Thulani Zwane, a woman (56) was killed at her home in Rockhaven Road, Cowies Hill at around midday.
“She sustained a gunshot wound, and a gun suspected to be the murder weapon was seized from the man. He will be charged with murder and will appear in the Pinetown Magistrates’ Court soon,” said Zwane.
The motive of the killing is unknown, but reports state that the couple had argued.
Police said they can not release the deceased’s name at this stage.
