Kloof WI wins seven trophies at Royal Show
Kloof Women's Institute chose Pretty Woman as its movie title theme for its home industry stand at the Royal Show.
THE Kloof Women’s Institute was rewarded for its hard work when its stand at the Royal Show received seven trophies.
This year’s theme for the home industry stands was ‘A Movie Title’. The Kloof Women’s Institute chose Pretty Woman, and won the following trophies: President’s Trophy for Best Exhibit in Bottling; Kirby Trophy for the Institute with the Most Points in Handicraft; Art, Leather and Handicraft Trophy – Category A Institute with the Most Points in Sections 1 to 7; Daily News Trophy for Institute with the Most points in Home Products; and President’s Trophy for Best Exhibits in classes one to 12.
Jane Henstock won the Alex Drysdale Trophy for the Best Miniature Teddy. Kloof was awarded 24 special ribbons and 28 firsts along with other certificates. This was a truly wonderful achievement.
