KWADABEKA Police arrested a man (58) last Wednesday for raping a nine-year-old girl.
According to KwaDabeka SAPS communications officer, W/O Sibusiso Ngcobo, the victim was playing with her friend on Tuesday, 26 May, when she was approached by the alleged rapist, who is known to her.
“He asked the girl to accompany him to the tuckshop. He led her behind the shop, where he raped her. The alleged rapist then told the girl that she must meet up with him at the same spot, the following day,” he said.
The victim went home and reported the matter.
“The girl was taken to KwaDabeka Police Station and a rape case was opened,” said Ngcobo.
