Help: Hillcrest’s travelling gogo stuck in Cape Town

Police appeal to anyone who can assist Thembelihle Mavis Nzimande's relatives return her home.

A HILLCREST woman that was found in Cape Town is still stuck there as relatives do not have funds and means to return her home.

Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Cst Ndumiso Manqele said according to her family,  Thembelihle Mavis Nzimande (65)  is mentally unstable has been lost on several occasions as she was once found at King Shaka Airport.

Police were able to trace Nzimande’s relatives after her story was published in local newspapers.

Nzimande was carrying her ID book with an Embo address but no house number. Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Cst Ndumiso Manqele said Nzimande is currently kept at a crisis centre.

“Her relatives have come forward but they do not have the money to fetch her. We appeal to anyone who can assist Nzimande be united with her family,” he said.

Manqele added that the Hillcrest SAPS would like to say thank you to the Hillcrest community about their quick response on the article that was published about Nzimande to locate the relatives.

“If it was not for their intervention, police would not have been able to trace Nzimande’s family.
