Join Headway-Natal and celebrate World Move For Health Day.
IN commemoration of World Move for Health Day, Headway-Natal will be hosting an open day on Friday, 8 May to raise awareness on the importance of being physically active.
Initiated by the World Health Organisation, World Move for Health Day is held to promote physical wellbeing and encourage all South Africans to take responsibility for their health by engaging in cost-effective physical activities and regular exercise.
Guest speakers, Benina Mkhonto, an academic development officer in the discipline of biokinetics, exercise science and leisure sciences, and Sibusisiwe Gavu, an honours graduate in exercise science, will empower guests with their knowledge.
The open day will be held from 9.30am to 11am at the Headway Centre, situated on 11 Menston Road, Westville.
After the talk guests will be allowed to tour the centre in operation, browse the charity shop or enjoy a delicious cappuccino and eats at the coffee bar.
