KINGDOM of God Church is calling out all the churches and the community to join them on Saturday, 25 April to celebrate Freedom Day.
The theme of the day is ‘Freedom in Christ’.
The church provides opportunities for businesses and ordinary South Africans to make lasting and meaningful differences in the lives of people who are less fortunate.
The event will start at 1pm and will be held at Clermont Hall (the old hall).
Mdu Mbutho from the church said they feel that the word ‘freedom’ is often abused.
“People have lost their morals and dignity because of the word ‘freedom’. Taking drugs, clubbing and abusing people is not what freedom is about,” he said.
There will be speakers who will share what freedom means to them, and there will be music from Ingomusa Gospel Groups and other singers.
Mbutho said they also believe that music can change people’s lives. “We would be grateful if people can join us on this day. If we could all unite, we can a make a huge difference in the world,” he said.
