Woman injured in Waterfall accident

One woman was injured in an accident along King George Road last night.

POLICE are investigating the cause of an accident that left one woman seriously injured at around 11.20pm last night. According to Netcare 911’s media liaison, Chris Botha, the accident occurred along King George Road, Waterfall.

“Netcare 911 paramedics and their rescue unit, as well as other services, arrived at the scene and found the woman trapped in the twisted frame of her vehicle. While the Netcare 911 rescue officer used the Jaws of Life to free the inured patient, paramedics worked tirelessly to stabilise her.

“After the patient was extricated and skillfully immobilised on a trauma board, they transported her to hospital,” said Botha.
