Waterfall College wins Vega Brand Experience Challenge

Waterfall College team wins R5000 for school.

On Saturday, 21 March the Waterfall College team won the Vega Inter-School Brand Experience Challenge, held in Durban at Vega, with the theme of ‘Childrens’ Rights’.

The WFC team comprised matric business studies students, Michaela Christophers, Josh Wood, Megan Clifton, Marciano Fernandes, Lané Roux and Nandi Hadebe. They were tasked to design a campaign to raise awareness, throughout SA, of one specific childrens’ right.

The WFC team chose the right to family and alternative care. They identified a key target audience, designed advertisements and came up with an idea for an innovative and disruptive activation to raise awareness amongst the target audience.

“Competing schools included The Wykeham Collegiate, Durban Girls’ College, Durban Girls’ High School and Grosvenor Boys’ High School. The competition was stiff, and the 15-minute presentations by each of the schools were of a high standard,” said Keryn House, marketer for Waterfall College.

The learners each won R1 000 and  R5 000 for the school.
