HILLCREST designated firearms office is appealing to all residents in the Hillcrest area who are firearm licence-holders to please check their licences and take note of the expiry date.
All firearm licences that were renewed during the transitional period have an expiry date, and need to be renewed 90 days before expiry.
Furthermore, all applicants who have lodged applications at the Hillcrest police station firearms office must contact the office to make enquires if they are still waiting for firearm licences or competency certificates.
“There are numerous cards that have not yet been collected,” said Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Cst Ndumiso Manqele.
