Isabella models to help underprivileged children

Isabella Zervous is vying for the Miss KZN provincial pageant crown.

EIGHT-year-old Isabella Zervous has been chosen as a finalist for the Miss KZN provincial pageant, presented by Role Models South Africa.
She will participate in the gala event at Whispers Country Café, 11 Ridgemont Road in Crestholme, Waterfall on Saturday, 21 March at 6pm.

This pageant is a charity event for Imfundo EduCare, which provides children with education, food and clothing when parents can not afford to.
Young Isabella said she started modelling in 2013 when she was six years old. She competed in her first pageant when she was seven.

“It’s fun. I enjoy it because I make new friends while raising funds for charity,” said Isabella.

The last competition she took part in was African Top Models, in which she finished as the fourth runner-up. She also won the Face of Bella pageant, which gave her automatic entry into the prestigious Miss KZN.

She said her role models are Courtney and Chanel, who are professional models at Bella Models, and Natashe Meyer, her Bella Models teacher, who won the Miss KZN pageant two years ago.

“Whether I win or lose, I hope to do more charity work to help children who don’t have much,” said Isabella.

Her dream is to become a fashion designer one day to design and produce clothing for poor children.

When she entered the pageant she had to complete a charity drive, so she challenged the Bella models to help collect items for Imfundo EduCare, which was a great success. She thanked them for all their support.

She also enjoys swimming, dancing, ballet, drawing and spending time with her friends, but said her passion is modelling.

Help Isabella fulfil her dream by voting for her to win this pageant: SMS ‘MKZN IsabellaZervous’ to 47611 (R3 per SMS). However, Isabella will also be scored on certain criteria on the day of the pageant before the ultimate winner is chosen.
