Nine injured in Cato Ridge crash

NINE people were injured when two vehicles collided head-on on Nagel Dam Road in Cato Ridge Friday, 13 March.

“Exact details surrounding the cause of the accident and events leading up to the crash are still unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation,” said Netcare 911’s Santi Steinmann.

Netcare 911 paramedics, its rescue unit and other services arrived at the scene and found the two vehicles had both been damaged badly.

Five children were seriously injured and four adults sustained minor to moderate injuries. The injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital.
