SPCA Outreach clinic promotes animal welfare

The SPCA is making a difference in the lives of rural animals.

Seventy-three dogs and cats were sterilised, vaccinated and treated for ticks, fleas and other external parasites at the Kloof & Highway SPCA second Outreach Clinic of the year, held at the SPCA.

The clinic was held over a two-day period, and each animal was sent home with some food and a blanket.

“The aim of these Outreach Clinics is to reach out to the most vulnerable animals in poverty-stricken areas and provide primary healthcare, thus promoting the health and welfare of animals and people,” said Lisa Gadd, PR for Kloof SPCA.

She added, “The Kloof & Highway SPCA would like to say thank-you to our donors who make these clinics possible. Without our supporters’ generosity the Kloof & Highway SPCA would not be able to continue the work that we do in animal welfare.”
