Horror crash on the M7
One person died, while two others were seriously injured, in a head-on crash on the M7.
RESCUE Care reported that one person died and two others were seriously injured in a head-on collision on the M7 west-bound, before the Bellville Bridge, on Wednesday afternoon, 4 March.
“Rescue Care paramedics arrived on scene to find total carnage. Two vehicles had collided in a head-on collision in the west-bound lane.
“Paramedics on scene quickly assessed the scene and found that one of the drivers had suffered severe injuries and died before paramedics arrived,” said spokesman, Garrith Jamieson.
The two occupants of the other vehicle had sustained serious injuries and were stabilised on scene before being transported to nearby hospitals.
“At this stage it is unclear how the collision occurred; however, SAPS was on the scene and will be investigating further,” Jamieson added.
