10 injured in M13 taxi crash

A taxi veered off the road and smashed into an embankment earlier today.

TEN people were injured when a taxi crashed into an embankment on the M13 at around 10.30am today.

According to Netcare 911’s media liaison officer, Chris Botha, a report from the scene indicated that the one wheel of the taxi came off, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and smash into the embankment.

The force of the impact caused the sliding door to break off and two occupants were ejected from the taxi.

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the injured at the side of the road. The occupants of the taxi sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene before being transported them to hospital.
