Man’s decomposing body found in cupboard

THE decomposing body of a psychiatric patient, believed to be in his 40s, was found in his Crestholme home yesterday afternoon.

The gruesome discovery was made by a friend of the deceased, who went to the River View Drive house after numerous attempts to contact the deceased were unsuccessful.

According to Constable Ndumiso Manqele, communications officer for the Hillcrest SAPS, the friend entered the house through an unlocked door. When he entered the house he noticed a strange odour. After searching the house he found the deceased in a cupboard.

“There were no visible injuries on the deceased. A case of murder is being investigated by the Hillcrest SAPS,” said Manqele.
