THREE men appeared in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 12 February facing house robbery charges.
Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Cst Ndumiso Manqele, said the three men, aged between 23 and 27, were remanded into custody following their first appearance on Monday, 2 February.
“It is alleged that on Friday, 30 January at about 10.30pm the men entered a house in Springside Road, Hillcrest Park and held two people at gunpoint.
A DVD player, an amplifier and two cars were stolen and a case of house robbery was opened at the Hillcrest Police Station.
“On Saturday, 31 January police received a tip-off about the whereabouts of the men, and they proceeded to the Embo area where they arrested them,” said Manqele.
All the items that were stolen during the robbery were recovered.
