Gillitts 2 members call for road improvements

After a high number of accidents this last week, Gillitts 2 Community Network is calling for better road safety.

With a higher than normal rate of accidents spanning from Sunday, 25 January to Thursday, 29 January, concerned members of the Gillitts 2 Community Network are calling for drastic action to be taken to prevent further unnecessary accidents and deaths.

“A few hotspots have been noted. Something desperately needs to be done, such as road surface improvements, Armco placement, rumble strips, speed cameras, visible policing, additional signage and additional cats’ eyes, road drainage et cetera,” said Ryan Bowler, Gillitts 2 patrol co-ordinator.
