TWO men aged 27 and 30 were arrested this morning (20 January) for allegedly robbing John Wesley School.
According to Pinetown SAPS communications officer, Cst Phindile Radebe, the two men entered the school at 6.30am, threatened a staff member with a stick and demanded cash.
“The staff member told them that there was no money in the school as parents deposit money into a bank account and they do not keep cash.
“They then fled with an iron rod after realising there was no money,” said Radebe.
Police were called and provided with the description of the robbers.
“Police who were patrolling at the time identified them and they were arrested in the Pinetown CBD,” added Radebe.
The two men will appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
