THREE young robbers had enough time to check two cars’ fuel levels before they made their escape after robbing a Kloof couple in Penhill Place yesterday (Wednesday, 14 January).
The police said the couple were on their way to work when the wife opened the back door to feed the dogs.
It is believed the three men then forced her into the home, where they tied her and her husband up before ransacking the house.
They demanded car keys from the couple and checked their private vehicle’s fuel level. The fuel level was too low, so the youths then settled on a company-owned white Bantam bakkie which was later tracked and recovered.
