Drummers raise more than R10 000 for Monkey Helpline

Monkey Helpline's Drumming for Monkeys fundraiser, organised by Grant Halliday, was a huge success.

MORE than 400 people gathered at the German Club in Westville to support Monkey Helpline’s Drumming for Monkeys fundraiser, organised by Grant Halliday, on Saturday 10 January.

According to Steve Entwiste, fundraising and marketing officer for Monkey Helpline, the organisation raised more than R10 000, which will go towards building the monkey rehabilitation centre at Thula Thula Game Reserve.

“It was a perfect evening enjoyed by all and so nice to see so many people having fun while enjoy the drumming show. Thank you to the drumming community for coming together and answering Grant Halliday’s call for help to support Monkey Helpline and our urban wildlife,” said Entwiste.

Monkey Helpline thanked every person involved in the event.
