Westville triplets score 21 A’s

Julia, Luke and Sarah Jamieson achieved seven distinctions each.

TRIPLETS Julia, Luke and Sarah Jamieson of Westville celebrated seven distinctions each and more than 90 per cent aggregates in the 2014 National Senior Certificate examinations. Luke attended Westville Boys’ High School and Julia and Sarah went to Westville Girls’ High School.

Luke, who attended Westville Boys’ High School last year, scored distinctions in Afrikaans, physical science, mathematics, engineering graphics design, accounting, life orientation and advanced programme mathematics.

Julia and Sarah attended Westville Girl’s High School and shared the same distinctions for English, Afrikaans, physical science, life sciences, life orientation, accounting and mathematics.

The triplets said although they wrote eight subjects each they were ecstatic about their results.

“We were so excited when we heard the news – we jumped around and screamed,” said Julia.

“The wait was too long and when we finally received our results we were overwhelmed,” said Sarah.

Luke plans to study chemical engineering at UCT this year while both Julia and Sarah will study towards Bachelor of Science (BSc) degrees at Pretoria and UCT respectively.

The triplets’ mom, Lindsay Jamieson, said she was extremely proud of her children and their outstanding results.
