Councillor wishes the community a blessed festive season

Ward 10 Councillor, Rick Crouch's seasonal greetings.

As we enter the festive season, it’s worth remembering that this is a time to be with people you care about – a time for goodwill, sharing and listening to each other as we review the successes, consider the difficult times and look ahead to the future.

During 2014, I have taken on board your views on topics from planning to building repair, children’s services to economic development, regeneration to empty homes, as well as community safety, waste disposal, older people’s services, nursery school provision, taxi services, road maintenance and repair.

I have welcomed your thoughts and suggestions on how we can refine the way we deliver our services to you.

I am thankful to live in a community where we have so many residents who volunteer their time to make wonderful things happen in our city.

To all our volunteers- thanks to you for your time and commitment. To all the non-profit organizations who are involved in offering services and assistance to those in need, you make our city great!

This holiday season, let us all take a moment to reflect on all the wonderful things we have in our lives. From my family to yours, we would like to wish everyone a safe and blessed Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

We look forward to seeing you out in the community and to a very prosperous 2015!
