Crime watch member robbed while unconscious

Ray de Beer crashed his car after having a blackout and was robbed while unconscious.

JUST a little over a year after Ray de Beer fell victim to hijackers in Waterfall, he once again fell victim to criminals when he was robbed just moments after having a car accident.

Steven King, of Waterfall Crime Watch and customer liaison officer for Secure Link, said De Beer lost control of his vehicle after suffering a black out at about 5pm on Wednesday, 3 December in Inanda Road.

“Unfortunately, while unconscious, a taxi stopped and then removed his wallet and wrist watch leaving him there for dead,” King said.

He thanked all those motorists who stopped to assist De Beer, which also included ER24, neighbourhood watches and off duty medical staff.

“If anybody saw the taxi and perhaps took down the registration number, please contact me on 082 920 5799.”
