The class of '96 are asked to sign up on the website to receive updated info about the reunion.

The 1966 Matric class at Durban High School (DHS) will be celebrating their 50 year reunion in June 2016 which will coincide with the 150th anniversary of the founding of the school.

In preparation for this, anyone who either started third form in 1963 – or who matriculated at DHS in 1966, are urged to register on the special website that has been created to keep in touch with all concerned leading up to the event. The site address is www.dhs-class-of-1966.com.

Alternatively, contact Cedric Parker on 083 278 8889.

Past learners have a very close bond with the school as witnessed by Cedric Parker (Class of 1966) and Terence Dowdall (Class of 1961) visiting former teacher, Geoff Chater at home in Durban North in celebration of his 94th Birthday.

“Geoff is revered by his pupils as one of the finest teachers ever to have taught at Durban High School. This occasion was just one of a number of pilgrimages by past pupils to visit Geoff. One of his most valued treasures is a plaque presented to him in June by the DHS Class of 1964 who were celebrating the 50th anniversary of their Matric class,” said Parker.
