Tennis tournie serves up fun

Hillcrest Tennis Club had the most teams at the tournament.

Over 240 children from all over Durban competed in the Ethekweni Tennis Association Junior club league tournament held at Westridge Park Stadium.

Hillcrest Tennis Club had the most teams playing, with a grand total of 11 teams.

The children all enjoyed two days of tennis, good sportsmanship and camaraderie in the tournie which was held over two Sundays, 21 September and 16 November and was organised by Gary Comins and Natalie Grandin with a team of helpers.

“This was the biggest junior tournament KZN has seen in a long time. Every court at Westridge was full. We hope that this becomes an annual event and will grow year by year,” said Grandin. “Ethekweni Tennis Association are very proud of how successful it was.”

Aquelle sponsored each child a bottle of water and Reefer storage gave each child a cooler bag.
