Witness sought in Hillcrest hit and run

A local resident is appealing for witnesses to a hit and run she was involved in to step forward.

A HILLCREST woman is desperately looking for witnesses to the hit and run she was involved in on Saturday, 15 November at about 7.10am in Inanda Road, heading from Waterfall to Hillcrest.

It is believed the woman was driving behind a grader when the grader wanted to turn right into the Caltex Garage just before Cotswold Downs.

“While waiting for the grader to turn, a white, small car, driven by a young man, driving from Hillcrest towards Waterfall, allegedly drove into the side of her car, damaging it beyond repair. The damages are in excess of R83 000,” said SA Community Crime Watch’s Steven King.

King said the car the youngster smashed into was green: “The front of this man’s car would be damaged and have green paint marks on it.

“A case has been opened at Hillcrest SAPS and Heinrich Schwarz from Eventus Private Investigation is assisting us in the investigation,” King said.

Witnesses, or residents who spot the car described above, can contact Steven on 082 920 5799.
