Taxi rolls, 10 injured

TEN people were injured after a taxi rolled multiple times along the M1 in Mariannhill this morning.

According to Russel Meiring, media spokesman for ER24, paramedics found the taxi lying on its roof in the middle of the road.

“It is believed that the taxi had lost control, which caused it to roll multiple times.” said Meiring.

The commuters had varying degrees of injuries, from minor to moderate. “The occupants of the taxi were found walking around on scene,” said Meiring.

They were all treated before they were transported to St Mary’s and RK Khan Hospital. The local SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating.
