Lover cops found dead

KwaDabeka Police are investigating a charge of murder and inquest after two police officers were found dead on Wednesday.

A CHARGE of murder and inquest is being investigated after two police officers were found dead in Clermont on Wednesday night.

Tenants in the building where the pair were found who wished to remain anonymous said they heard four gun shots at about 9.30pm.

“At first I thought it was fireworks, but realised that the sound was too loud. After some time I looked outside and saw nothing suspicious on the roads. Another tenant who is their neighbour went to check but the door was locked,” said a tenant.

The tenant said the two police officers who were also lovers were nice people.

“I am still very shocked about this incident. Police were called to the scene after tenants suspected that there was something wrong as the couple did not answer,” she said.

KZN police spokesman, Major Thulani Zwane said circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated. KwaDabeka Police are investigating a charge of murder and inquest.
