We’ve found you the top, most easy treats to make from the comfort of your home that is sure to freak even the toughest people out.

Spooky spider eggs

Ingredients:

  1. Eggs
  2. Mayonnaise
  3. Pitted olives

Method:

  1. Hard boil your eggs and peel off the shell once done.
  2. Cut your eggs in half and take the yolk out, saving it in a separate bowl.
  3. Mix your preferred amount of mayonnaise with the egg yolks and scoop it back into the hollows in the egg white.
  4. Cut one olive in half, putting one half on the centre of your yolk and mayo mix.
  5. The cut the other half into slices that you will pack around the half already on the yolk mix to create spider legs.

NOTE: You can also make freaky eyeballs, also using olives, but cutting it into circles and placing it on the old and mayo mix. A dash of tomatoe sauce also adds a little more scariness to the egg.

Mummified hot dogs

Ingredients:

  1. Hot dog sausages
  2. Bread dough/ puff pastry
  3. Capers

Method:

  1. Roll bread dough/ puff pastry onto lightly floured surface until thin.
  2. Cut into thin strips.
  3. Wrap around sausage (make sure pieces of the sausage are peeking through the dough).
  4. Put capers on as eyes.
  5. Bake until golden brown (12 minutes or so).
