New info on Durban Ebola scare

A new report on Durban's suspected Ebola patient has emerged.

A new report on our Zululand sister site the Zululand Observer appears to bolster claims of a suspected Ebola case in the province.

According to the article by Ronelle Ramsamy, a Mtunzini man was reportedly admitted to Addington Hospital this morning after displaying symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting.

The article claims the man had returned from Sierra Leone and was tested for the Ebola virus earlier this month.

This news comes after the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) said in a statement released on its website that the man was never admitted or tested at Addington Hospital for Ebola.

Meanwhile, with conflicting reports and the absence of any clear official response, Ebola panic continues to spread throughout Durban.
